A tundra region in one of the geographic poles of Pandora. The Shelf represents the most remote and environmentally extreme settlement of humans on Pandora. The Southern Shelf is covered in ice year round, but experiences drastic seasonal changes. The ice sheet is located several hundred miles along the coast from the Three Horns region.

a city built on top of Dahl's prime mining ship of the same name, sent to Pandora to mine precious minerals from an area now known as the Caustic Caverns. When the Dahl corporation left Pandora after its unsuccessful ventures, they left their prize mining ship behind, still covering up the failed mining site. After an attack by Hyperion under the order of Handsome Jack, the city was elevated, and now stands as a beacon hovering high over the ground.

The Caustic Caverns are a vast network of tunnels underneath Sanctuary's mining berth, and the prime location of Dahl's mining operations upon Pandora. The resultant caverns are now full of corrosive pools and mountains of trash.

Several Hyperion railways passed through here at one point, and it is also the location of several Hyperion funded bandit mining facilities. The Varkid farms can be found here, as well as Tiny Tina's workshop.

A wide and expansive area with large arching rock formations and nothing but dirt and bandits. This is where Ellie's Garage can be found, as well as the train that leads to Lynchwood. You can also make your way to the Highlands and the Eridium Blight through here.

A hot bed of sin and vice ran by a woman who calls herself Havoc, this city is built from the skeleton of a mining town, and features criminal activity, thrill seeking, and a massive dome where fights and shows are put on almost daily.

A bandit town accessed by train from The Dust, it has a strangely old west vibe that makes it unique from the rest of the settlements and strongholds around Pandora.

A vast underground cavern filled with glacial ice and old rundown machinery. Treading through this location is a dangerous gamble, as it is heavily populated by rats and aggressive groups of Rakks and Stalkers.

This was, at one point, a very different place, the location of the town of Fyrestone, this area is now scarred by slag pools and Hyperion structures, inhabitable by the people who used to live around here.

It is composed of twisting canyons, rocky outcrops and ravines as well as piles of debris and pools of water. Rust Commons East is divided into two sections separated by a large canyon that is spanned by northern and southern drawbridges.
